Compliance Specialist Intern – Credit Compliance and Strategic Initiatives

Summer 2025 Paid Internship

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Compliance Specialist Intern to join our Credit Compliance and Strategic Initiatives team. In this exciting role, you will work with a team of dedicated individuals committed to quality assurance while implementing regulatory change. You will have opportunities to collaborate with others to develop solutions for ensuring regulatory compliance.

 

The intern will have responsibilities which could include the following:

  • Coordinate pre-implementation testing of the Small Business Lending Data Collection Rule (Section 1071) across the Zions Bancorp footprint
  • Participate in staff training, including development and coordination of training efforts for 1071
  • Develop implementation efficiencies related to quality assurance and testing of the 1071 data collection process from end to end
  • Other duties as assigned

You will be an excellent fit for this position if you have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Experience in working with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Vizio, Word, Teams, PowerPoint). Experience working with Microsoft Azure is preferred, but not required.  Any additional experience with other project managements tools will be helpful but not required
  • Collaborate with front line, middle office, compliance and various other teams to assess implementation readiness of 1071
  • Assist in the coordination of reviews, and impact analysis of regulatory requirements and industry enforcement actions
  • Provide subject matter expertise on compliance and risk topics as assigned

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must be working toward Bachelor's or Master’s degree in in Project Management, Business Administration, Finance, Business Information Systems, or other related field.  An applicant with pre-law background with an intent to go into law school would also be applicable
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate and contribute within a team environment
