Volunteerism

One of our Guiding Principles is to create value for the communities we serve. All employees are encouraged to be active participants in their local communities. Annually, Zions Bancorporation employees contribute more than 150,000 hours to help schools and nonprofit organizations in our neighborhoods by volunteering their time and serving on boards, as well as participating in annual giving campaigns.

Community Support

New Technology Center

Zions Bancorporation built a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus is the company’s primary technology and operations center.

This modern and environmentally friendly technology center enables Zions to continue to compete for the best technology talent in the state while providing team members with an exceptional work environment with features such as:

  • Electric vehicle charging stations and close proximity to Historic Gardner Village UTA TRAX station;
  • At least 75% of the building is powered by on-site renewable solar energy;
  • Access to outdoor recreation, parks, trails, shareable bikes and locker rooms;

Emerging Leaders Program for Technology 

Our Enterprise Technology and Operations division is committed to helping employees grow and develop in their career. One of the ways is through the Emerging Leaders Development Program, designed for those who are interested in accelerating their development and creating a long-term career with Zions Bancorporation. It is intended to provide broader context into how we operate, create relationships and networks for career success long term, and to enhance key performance skills. The program is geared towards our professional and junior to mid-level management colleagues.
