Intern – Credit Risk Analyst
2025 Paid Summer Intern
May thru mid-August
This internship is not eligible for relocation assistance. Local candidates preferred.

The intern will work on or be exposed to the following:
- Query and validate data from various sources in the Bancorporation’s data environment
- Use analytic techniques to assess risk in credit portfolios
- Assist in comparing the credit portfolio to that of peer banks
- Maintain framework used to manage credit risk (evaluate credit metrics)
- Various clean-up/data projects
Qualifications:
- Currently working on a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or a related degree
- Exposure to statistical programming software (SAS, R, Python)
- Experience working with large data sets
- Basic understanding of SQL
- Interest in portfolio risk management and statistical analysis
- Requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make sound decisions and be inquisitive – not afraid to ask questions or make recommendations.
- Working knowledge of computer software programs including spreadsheets, word processing, etc.
