We are seeking a UX Designer to join Zions Bancorporation.  This UX Designer plays a key role in delivering our new Customer 360 experience on web and mobile platforms. 

 

Customer 360 is an innovative digital experience allowing customers to access their full banking relationship in one place.  We are looking to transform all their interactions into an easy to use, well designed interface.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work largely independently, contribute to the UX/UI design of Customer 360 by optimizing for usability, preference, and ease of adoption.
  • Advocate for and participate in user testing where appropriate to gather end-user input, co-crafting the learning agenda with our product team.
  • Critique proposed and implemented work, providing candid feedback to fellow designers and developers, holding the cross-functional team accountable to delivering the application as designed.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance our design strategies.
  • Drive consistency in style and branding across web and mobile projects.
  • Document design processes, user flows, and design specifications. Maintain organized files and design assets for easy access and reference.
  • Stay updated with the latest design trends and tools to continuously improve design skills and bring fresh ideas to the team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field preferred.  A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • 4+ years of experience designing for web and mobile, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your experience creating user-centered design solutions.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience maintaining, contributing to, and managing design systems.
  • Fluent in responsive design and native mobile patterns to deliver an effective combination of consistency, familiarity, brand expression, and ease of use.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and branding.
  • Knowledge of wireframing and prototyping techniques.
  • Excellent communicator who has the conviction to champion your point of view but can also successfully collaborate with others.
  • Ability to translate user needs and business goals into effective design solutions.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Figma to create UX, UI and graphic design.

 

Location:

 

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
