We are currently looking for a Manager of Cybersecurity Engineering to join our cybersecurity leadership team. As a key member of our cybersecurity engineering leadership team, this position will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the bank’s data protection capabilities while ensuring the members of your team are growing and developing their cybersecurity skills.
We are looking for relevant, collaborative leadership experience, proven execution ability and technical cybersecurity competency as key indicators of success for this role. Individuals with diverse backgrounds and mindsets that drive a holistic approach to cybersecurity are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee collaborative efforts across teams to enhance and maintain data protection capabilities: database activity monitoring, data loss prevention, data classification, data encryption, web proxy configuration.
· Provide leadership, development, and mentorship to a team of engineers responsible for database security controls, data loss prevention controls, and web proxy controls.
· Lead and oversee the development of security engineering (playbooks, run books, reporting, metrics to include key risk indicators, and executive level presentations)
· Forge strong, collaborative relationships across functions to ensure effective database, data loss prevention, and web proxy security controls (IT infrastructure, development, enterprise architecture, internal audit, etc.)
· Enhance and maintain the bank’s strategic security capabilities and controls in multiple engineering domains: database management, data loss prevention, web proxy, and cloud activity service broker.
· Facilitate strategies for addressing novel threats to data security, including overseeing the organization’s approach to quantum-safe cryptography.
Qualifications:
· 6+ years of overall technology or cybersecurity experience, especially in data security, data loss prevention, and data management
· Direct, hands-on experience establishing security engineering teams, including secure solution designs, engineering roadmaps, execution strategies, and technical support.
· Broad and deep technology expertise in application data loss prevention, development/delivery, cloud, cybersecurity, application security and API security, with a strong background of connecting these domains together on large-scale projects.
· Experience with managing a data protection practice, including database encryption and obfuscation, database monitoring, web proxy configuration, data loss prevention and cloud activity service broker.
· Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce technical documentation, controls test plans, configuration checklists, standard operating procedures, root cause analysis, and assessment reports.
· Understanding and practical knowledge of cryptography, PKI, secrets management, and application of these principles in secure coding and secure infrastructure management
· Requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
Location:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of 4 days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
