We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and energetic Data Governance Analyst to assist with documentation, business requirements, and integration of Data Classification and Data Rights Initiatives. In this exciting role, you will be a data governance liaison and subject matter expert for the targeted areas, providing details for business and operational concepts.

The Data Governance Analyst will:
- Analyze multiple data segments within the organization and establish knowledge centers around the data segments and their data classification.
- Work with subject matter experts, end users and others involved in the data supply chain to resolve issues and meet Data Governance objectives such as appropriately classifying data, data quality metrics etc.
- Partner with key stakeholders on initiatives, application development, and implementation activities.
- Lead cross-functional teams in problem solving sessions to structure and solve open ended data centric problems.
- Assist in the development, coordination, implementation of process related to data cataloguing and metadata.
- Present trainings, recommendations, and strategies to division/departments management.
- Work closely with compliance and legal on new or changing data rights regulations.
Qualifications:
- Have a passion for Data and how it helps drive insights that help the organization.
- Must have change management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify and solve problems.
- Effective analysis, project management, problem resolution, and critical thinking skills.
- Solid requirements gathering, refinement, and analysis skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of organization, set and reach divisions/department's goals.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and have solid time-management skills.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Related system, operational, and project management experience is a plus.
- Involvement in data rights or data governance a plus.
- Experience in financial institutions and banking is a plus.
- Requires a bachelor’s in finance, Business, Accounting or related field and 4+ years of directly related business line experience, developing and implementing strategic programs/projects, delivering results or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
Location:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus will be the company’s primary technology and operations center.
