Zions Bancorporation is looking for a Contracts Manager to join our Supply Chain Management team. 

 

Zions Supply Chain Management team serves the needs of the Bank and its stakeholders regarding suppliers.  We seek to help the company create value by acting as a trusted advisor to the businesses and executive managers we support, as well as safeguarding the Bank’s risks associated with suppliers.  This is accomplished through fulfillment of our sourcing, legal, and risk responsibilities.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Analyze numerous and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies (including risk issues), business unit procedure and communicate results to the team.
  • Develop negotiation strategy and lead negotiation team on complex contractual issues.
  • Compare preferred language to proposed language and modify, negotiate and draft as needed.
  • Assist in developing standards for contracts, general language and provisions.
  • Serve as primary organizational contact for vendor contract negotiations.
  • Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients about contractual issues.
  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders and suppliers including effectively managing contract enquiries, issues, disputes, variations, risks and undertaking negotiations with suppliers as required.
  • Provides guidance to internal business on objectives relating to contract activity.
  • Serves as a point of contact for legal, finance and business teams for resolution of contract issues and interpretation issues.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of new contract policies and processes.
  • Ensures that contract administration records and documentation such as contract related correspondence, internal customer contact information, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects are maintained.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge/Skills

 

  • Thorough understanding of business and legal contract terms and contract risk mitigation and be able to effectively negotiate those needed terms into contracts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, transactional organization.
  • Ability to multi-task, advise and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Deliver on commitments be dependable, risk sensitive and agile.
  • Excellent prioritization, analytical, risk management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a fluctuating workload with multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility as to systems used and new systems introduced.
  • Must have excellent problem solving and vendor relationship management skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and make sound decisions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 8+ years in vendor contract review, negotiation, redlining, evaluating and documenting.
  • Experience in finance related technology contracts. Specifically, advanced experience in drafting and negotiating SaaS and commercial contracts in a risk centric /banking environment or other directly related experience.  
  • A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) and Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification preferred.
  • SAP Ariba knowledge a plus.
  • Banking industry experience preferred.
  • Supply chain experience preferred.

 

Pay Range:

 

  • $105,000.00- $110,000.00 (based upon location and relatable skills and experience)
