We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Data Solution Architect that will focus on leading the architectural design of innovative data products/solutions across the enterprise. This role is critical in establishing a solid foundation for data management within an organization, ensuring that data is organized, accessible, secure, governed, and aligned with business objectives. More specifically, this architect will assist with creating new and rearchitecting existing data solutions (e.g., data warehouse, ODSs, data lake, advanced analytics, data integrations) to use new modern data platforms.
The Architect will:
- Work with business and technical leaders to architect solutions that encompass data processing/integration, data governance/quality, data delivery and data analytics that support business initiatives across products, services, projects, and systems.
- Design and implement a modern, cloud-based data management platform that supports the medallion architecture and integrates operational processes, data integration, data warehousing, business intelligence, and advanced analytics (e.g., AI/ML).
- Collaborate with product owners and managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product life cycle.
- Partner with Data Modeling and Data Governance teams to establish and promote a common data language, ensuring data consistency across systems.
- Define and manage standards, principles, patterns, guidelines, and processes to ensure data security, governance, consistency, accessibility, and high quality.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for data management, storage, analytics, and related tools.
- Develop future state roadmaps for products and technologies that align with and enable business objectives.
- Assist Business Analysts and System Owners in defining technology and non-functional requirements for solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Experience and Qualifications:
- In depth problem-resolution, analytical, and troubleshooting skills related to information architecture concepts that support well-architected and integrated transactional, analytical, and collaborative systems.
- A minimum of five years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data warehouse solutions, including complex data integrations using ETL/ELT processing that leverage OLAP databases and/or Big Data platforms.
- A minimum of five years of experience as a data solution architect, actively promoting and utilizing industry best-practice architectural patterns in designs and implementations.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design and performance optimization of data warehousing and data lake type workloads.
- Solid understanding of BI tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Business Objects) used to create insightful and actionable reports and dashboards.
- Organizational, project management, and time management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills when engaging with business leaders, project management/ARTs, and technical experts at all levels.
- Ability to listen actively, resolve conflicts, negotiate, compromise, and collaboratively lead business leaders and project teams toward optimal solutions.
- Banking or other Financial Services experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is a plus.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
