Intern - Quantitative Modeling Analyst
Summer 2026 Paid Internship

Zions has an excellent opportunity available for a Quantitative Modeling Analyst intern to join our Corporate Quantitative Analytics group responsible for model development.
Please create a cover letter listing your degree and describing your skills and experience. Key responsibilities for this position include the following:
- Assist in the design and development of statistical/machine learning models to support various initiatives utilizing predictive modeling
- Construct and clean datasets in preparation for analysis and use in building forecasting models
- Perform accuracy and quality checks to test model forecast results
- Write documentation that explains the process used in developing models
- Create summary reports that highlight forecasting methods and results
- Help prepare presentations for senior management
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with one or more of the following statistical software tools: Python, SQL, R, SAS
- Knowledge of statistical and econometric modeling methods, as well as machine learning
- Understanding of accounting, financial statements, and banking products is a plus.
- Proficiency in working with large data sets is a plus.
- Experience with technologies such Google Cloud Platform, GPUs, and Git is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
