We are seeking a Technology Manager - IT Asset Management to join Zions Bancorporation. In this pivotal role, you will lead the IT Asset Management team, driving strategic initiatives to optimize technology investments and ensure compliance across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, manage asset lifecycles, and support business objectives. Your expertise will help shape the future of our technology landscape, making a significant impact on operational efficiency and cost management. Responsibilities 

  • Oversee the IT Asset Management program, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of hardware, software, and digital assets in our system of record. 

  • Develop and implement asset management policies, procedures, and standards while ensuring compliance and continually reducing risk in the environment. 

  • Enact continuous monitoring and continuous improvement ensuring that the bank is keeping up with industry best practices and trends relating to ITAM 

  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to optimize asset utilization and cost savings through rightsizing hardware based on lifecycles and licensing in software contracts. 

  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements. 

  • Ensure the team has the needed technical skills, competencies, business domain expertise, process knowledge, industry sector knowledge, and capacity to achieve organizational goals and objectives. 

  • Lead audits and reconciliation of IT assets to maintain data integrity. 

  • Manage asset lifecycle processes, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, useful life monitoring and remediation, and safe disposal. 

  • Eliminate manual asset management practices and develop automated solutions through IT Asset Management platform. 

  • Analyze asset data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. 

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to IT assets. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications 

  • 8+ years’ experience leading, mentoring, and cultivating a high-performing team of cross-functional IT operations individual contributors. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Business Management, or related field (required)

  • Experience implementing and maintaining Hardware, Software, and Digital Asset management within an IT Service Management Platform (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy) 

  • Experience in complex IT infrastructure environments that is multi-datacenter and multi-cloud to bring industry best practices on how best to manage assets regardless of location and whether they are physical or digital 

  • Strong knowledge of technical solutions applicable to the team function including software architecture, technical software design, development, infrastructure, systems and application management, incident and change management, project and systems management 

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to communicate effectively with senior business and technical management, vendors, and team members. 

  • Strong leadership skills, with an ability to motivate team members and facilitate change 

  • Excellent leadership, analysis and project management skills, including resource and financial management 

  • Excellent presentation and technical and non-technical communication skills, both verbal and written 

  • Ability to develop and execute strategic roadmaps 

 

Visa Sponsorship: 

This Technology Manager position is currently not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa). This includes, for example, situations where a candidate may have temporary work authorization while enrolled in school or upon graduation (e.g., CPT, OPT) but would need H-1B visa sponsorship within a few years of employment in order to maintain employment eligibility. 

  

Location: 

This position is fully in office (5 days a week) at the Zions Technology Center - 7860 South Bingham Junction Blvd, Midvale, UT 84047. 

The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus will be the company’s primary technology and operations center.  This modern and environmentally friendly technology center will enable Zions to continue to compete for the best technology talent in the state while providing team members with an exceptional work environment with features such as:
