We are looking for a Syndication Loan Closing Administrator to work in office in Irvine, CA or Houston, TX.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Documentation review and the loan closing process for various types of syndicated loans (Agent and Non-Agent/Non-Lead).
  • Work directly with relationship managers (RM), along with the borrower, legal counsel (attorney), title companies, insurance agents, and vendors to ensure closing requirements are met and necessary due diligence is obtained.
  • Represent the organization with clients, legal, and outside agencies on the closing process.
  • Review and comprehend complex loan documentation, loan terms, and financial elements for accuracy and consistency with the Credit Approval.
  • Ensure documents are prepared in compliance with credit policy, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identity potential documentation risks and provide solutions.
  • Ensure waivers or deviations from policy are adequately documented.
  • Coordinate and/or instruct attorneys/legal counsel to prepare loan documents in accordance with credit approval and bank’s requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or a related field and 1+ years of syndication, Commercial Real Estate documentation/closing or other similar experience, including experience reading and interpreting loan and legal documentation or other directly related experience.
    • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Knowledge of syndication, commercial real estate loan closing or a related field's processes and procedures, lending compliance and regulations, loan systems, and loan documentation.
  • Solid working knowledge of loan principles and processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex loan and legal documentation.
  • Solid working knowledge of construction due diligence and risk management.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Must be accurate, detail oriented, and have ability to multi-task.
  • Must have solid problem resolution, audit, customer service, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to assist in training and mentoring to less experience loan specialists/closers may be required.
  • Demonstrate ability to utilize sound judgment and to proactively seek assistance when needed work under limited supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, RMs, internal/external legal counsel, and credit management.
  • Solid computer skills include various word processing and spreadsheet software.

Salary range (depending on experience): $65,000-$89,000
