Zions Bancorporation is seeking an Information Technology Operations Manager with ITIL, ITSM, and strong operational leadership experience to join the IT Service Management division. This role will help implement ITSM processes to enhance IT service quality and customer satisfaction at the bank.

The ITSM Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of IT Service Management processes across the organization. This role ensures that IT services are aligned with business needs, delivered efficiently, and continuously optimized for performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.
This individual will:
Lead a technology and operations team in support of critical business functions to meet stakeholder objectives.
Guide stakeholders on their journey toward incident free production environments through effective incident, change, release and request management processes.
Cultivate relationships with all stakeholders including business, products, technology, risk, suppliers, and operations.
Ensure the uptime and availability of mission critical applications through proactive management of software, demand, monitoring systems, and interfaces.
Ensure the team has the needed technical skills, competencies, business domain expertise, process knowledge, industry sector knowledge, and capacity to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Manage vendor relationships, as needed, ensuring the vendors’ performance and contributions align with objectives and strategy.
Manage the total cost of ownership, annual budgeting and forecasting of the team including software, FTE/contractors, and professional services.
Serve as a Technology Foundation Product Owner/Project Manager (POPM) through Agile/Kanban-style value delivery system.
Other duties as assigned (including supporting on-call activities and change management responsibilities outside of normal business hours).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related degree. Professional Certifications (ex. ITIL, SAFe, etc.) are highly desired.
8+ years’ experience leading, mentoring, and cultivating a high-performing team of cross-functional IT operations engineers.
5+ years’ experience leading and/or influencing cloud ready and cloud-native infrastructure delivery, leveraging public cloud services. Google Cloud experience is a plus. Experience with a combination of the following solutions is desired; Endpoint Management, Networking, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), Automation, Middleware, ITSM, etc.
Experience in delivering toward SOC 2 Type II or other technology compliance certifications in Fintech or Banking industries is highly desired.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to communicate effectively with senior business and technical management, vendors, and team members.
Proven ability to interact with others to identify, analyze and solve IT incidents and problems through close attention to detail.
Excellent leadership, management, and organizational skills.

Location:
This position is a full-time in-office position due to interaction with teams, business stakeholders, and executives at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, Utah. We will consider candidates that are able to relocate to the Salt Lake City area.
