Zions Bancorporation is seeking an International Banking Associate (Spanish fluency is required) to join International Banking in Houston, TX.

International Banking is a full-service lending group focused on delivering financing solutions to exporters, importers, U.S. subsidiaries of foreign-owned companies, and international corporates. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting clients engaged in cross-border business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior bankers on loan originations, renewals, and credit structuring, while supporting ongoing client needs and contributing to client strategy

  • Manage and service a portfolio of international commercial loan relationships, maintaining strong client experience and retention

  • Support relationship growth by identifying opportunities to deepen and expand existing client engagements

  • Perform financial analysis, including spreading and evaluating financial statements, assessing industry risks, and monitoring collateral and covenant compliance

  • Prepare credit materials and internal reporting to support approval and monitoring processes

  • Support special projects and other initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

  • 1+ year of experience managing client relationships or in a client-facing role

  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered

  • Spanish fluency required for client engagement

  • Skills and Competencies

  • Working knowledge of lending, portfolio management, and financial statement analysis

  • Understanding of banking products, services, and applicable regulatory requirements

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with clear and effective written and verbal communication

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
