We are seeking an Organizational Development and Communications Summer Intern to join Zions Bancorporation.
The Organizational Development and Communications Summer Intern serves as a member of the broader ODC team within Enterprise Technology and Operations, focused on cultivating a workforce where all colleagues feel like they belong and are thriving, engaged and developing. The Summer Intern is responsible for helping support ETO employee programs including Innovation Week, Women-in-Technology, Future of Banking, internal communications, employee experience and belonging.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing the company's annual Innovation Week conference on innovation in banking, technology and career development, including scheduling, logistics, and communications.
- Support the development of employee program materials and internal communications to drive engagement and participation in employee programs.
- Conduct post-event analysis and feedback collection to support continuous improvement of future Innovation Week initiatives.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance the impact and experience of ETO employee programs.
- Support WIT program including collaborating with other internal employee forums, external partners for STEM events, and support the WIT Advisory Group on planning and execution of monthly forum events.
- Participate in One Zions Employee Forums Program and ETO Inclusion and Belonging Advisory Group.
- Support the Workforce of the Future initiative through content creation, presentation development, and SharePoint site administration to enhance communication, engagement, and resource accessibility.
- Assist with broad ETO internal communications, data collection, and coordination of employee engagement activities to foster a connected and informed workplace culture.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in event management, program management, diversity and inclusion programs, student resource group/club leadership, or community impact work.
- Procuring a bachelor's or master's degree in social sciences, communications, business, marketing or a related field. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Passion for driving innovative programs and events that deliver immediate impact and contribute to long-term organizational growth through effective program management.
- Proven track record of creating and executing high impact events including exceptional organization, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Inspire, build relationships, and move others to action.
- Ability to research best practices, industry trends, and assess internal factors to make data-informed decisions to implement and evolve programing to maximize impact.
- Uncompromisingly high standards, relatability across diverse people, bias towards action, and demonstrated ability to deliver results.
- Track record of being able to navigate and thrive in ambiguity and through change, effective time management skills, and ability to independently prioritize work.
- Proven ability to adapt written and verbal communications to address audience needs and tell stories.
- Driven by listening and understanding, solving problems, and continuous learning and improvement.
