Zions Bancorporation Enterprise Recruiting team is looking for an HR/Recruiting Intern to support the College Recruiting team. In this role, you will gain hands-on, end-to-end exposure to the lifecycle of university recruitment, from sourcing candidates and coordinating dynamic campus events to maintaining applicant tracking systems (ATS) and building strong pipelines for our early career programs. This is an immediate-start, off-cycle position designed for candidates who are looking to gain hands-on experience during the academic year.

 

  • Position Type: Part-Time Internship (Temporary)
  • Hours: 15 hours per week (Flexible scheduling around class times)
  • Start Date: Immediately (targeting October/November 2026)
  • Duration: 16-20 weeks
  • Location: Zions Bank Headquarters or Zions Technology Campus

 

This 16-to-20-week program is designed to provide you with meaningful, real-world Human Resources experience, a dedicated mentor, and direct insight into how a corporate recruiting team operates.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Recruitment Coordination & Candidate Experience
    • Interview Scheduling: Coordinate, schedule, and send confirmation invites for initial phone screens and panels for early-career programs (such as Summer Internships or Analyst pipelines)
    • Applicant Tracking & Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring candidates transition smoothly through the hiring funnel
    • Candidate Communication: Act as a warm, responsive, front-line point of contact for candidate inquiries regarding application status, virtual interview prep, and upcoming event details
    • Pre-Onboarding Support: Assist the early career team with initial administrative onboarding tasks, including tracking completed candidate documents, background checks, and distributing offer letters
  • University Relations & Campus Event Support
    • Event Planning: Assist with the logistical preparation of campus career fairs, information sessions, and on-site networking events
    • Campus Outreach Support: Assist in maintaining our master college recruiting calendar and coordinating the distribution of marketing collateral
    • Employer Brand Representation: Participate in select virtual or on-campus information sessions to share your unique perspective as a current intern with perspective candidates
  • Special Projects
    • Early-Career Recruiting Marketing: Assist with updating flyers, brochures, and slide decks to promote our programs and upcoming campus events
    • Intern Research Project: Research emerging early-career recruitment trends (e.g., candidate use of Generative AI, virtual engagement strategies) and present your insights to the HR/Recruiting team

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field (Junior or Senior standing preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of organizational ability and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential candidate data with absolute discretion
  • Passion for HR, recruiting, and enhancing the candidate experience
