Frontend (or Full Stack) Software Engineer

Summer 2024 Paid Internship  

Mid-May – Mid August

We are the Public Website team, and we develop and maintain the public facing websites for Zions. We are looking for a Frontend (or Full Stack) Software Engineer. You’ll learn, understand and then make contributions for our projects under the guidance of senior engineers.

 

Things you'll do:

  • Develop web applications utilizing modern JavaScript frameworks and Java for Zions websites with a focus on frontend development.
  • Assist in designing and implementing features and functionalities.
  • Conduct website testing with QA engineers.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving website problems.
  • Help in creating and maintaining software documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Software Development Background (preferably in JavaScript, html, CSS, jQuery and Java).
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A good team player with integrity, initiative and accountability.
  • Basic understanding of distributed systems, data structures, design principles, and algorithms.
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Experience Manager or similar content management systems is a plus.
