We are currently seeking a Financial Crimes Utility Analyst to join our team.  This position will be full time work from home in either the Salt Lake City, Utah or Phoenix, AZ area.  

  • Responsible for performing a variety of diverse functions supporting the Financial Crimes Unit to include: Currency Transaction Reporting, Customer Due Diligence, Know Your Customer, Negative News reporting, OFAC, Surveillance, Fraud/Anti-Money Laundering (FRAML) Investigations and Enhanced Due Diligence.
  • Responsible to perform functions in a dynamic and changing environment with limited oversight.
  • Responsible for the identification of process improvements and learning opportunities to help maintains and efficient and effective compliance program.
  • Assist as required in various department projects including systems project support; department initiatives, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, Accounting, Finance or related fields or equivalent and 1+ years of banking, BSA/AML compliance, regulations, processes, procedures, bank branch operations or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
  • Basic working knowledge of all BSA/AML department procedures.
  • Understand BSA/AML Compliance as it applies to suspicious activity for money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud.
  • Ability to move fluidly from one team to another.
  • Good working knowledge of AML/BSA regulatory compliance processes and procedures.
  • Must have good research, analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • Good organizational, customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Requires good follow through, attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to complete responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including typing, Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to meet performance expectations including Service Level Agreements for errors and Quality Assurance score expectations.
