We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Corporate Finance team at Zions Bancorporation. Initially focused on Incentive Compensation, this role is positioned within our broader FP&A group and offers the unique opportunity to evolve into comprehensive financial planning and analysis. Our FP&A group is central to the company's success, and we are focused on driving business value through insightful analysis and strategic financial planning. What’s great about our department is that we work with the brightest minds in the organization, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Our work has Executive and Board-level visibility, with direct engagement across a diverse range of business units, translating directly into highly visible, enterprise-wide initiatives. We are focused on creating business value and are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional to manage current incentive models while growing with our team's expanding needs.

The Incentive Compensation team—a vital arm of our broader Corporate Finance and FP&A group—partners with business leaders to design, implement, and manage optimized and equitable incentive programs. We are central to driving the company’s strategic objectives by aligning individual performance goals with overall enterprise success. Our team works closely with executive leadership to define standard financial metrics, protect the organization from operational and financial risk, and serve as subject matter experts on a wide array of financial instruments. If you are looking for a highly visible environment that fosters continuous progress, nurtures professional growth, and offers the unique opportunity to expand your expertise into comprehensive financial planning and analysis, you will be in excellent company.

As a Financial Analyst focused on Incentive Compensation, you will play a key role in motivating and rewarding our workforce through the precise administration and analysis of our incentive plans. Utilizing your strong financial modeling and data-extraction skills, you will ensure our programs are accurate, equitable, and aligned with the company's broader financial health. The daily work you do and the insights you provide will have a tangible impact on employees across the organization, directly driving Zions Bancorporation’s overarching success.

The Incentive Compensation Financial Analyst will:

  • Manage, analyze, and maintain complex financial models in Excel to support the organization's incentive compensation plans.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Units, Finance, and HR, to ensure the alignment of compensation plans and financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Drive business process improvements to optimize current incentive tracking processes and implement new solutions for the broader finance reporting functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or another related field.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, management reporting, or incentive compensation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present complex information clearly to a variety of audiences.
  • A desire and an ability to continually improve processes, drive efficiency, and adapt to changing team responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and navigate ambiguity; a proactive problem-solver who can independently assess situations, define objectives, and execute solutions even when a standard process is not yet established.
  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Previous experience in Financial Services or at a mid-to-large size financial institution is a plus.
