We’re seeking an exceptional Executive Creative Director to help lead and evolve our brand voice across all customer touchpoints.
This role sits at the intersection of financial services expertise and creative excellence, responsible for ensuring our enterprise brand and each of our seven affiliate brands speak with clarity, authenticity, and distinction.
Work Arrangement: This is a 100% in-office position. Candidates must be available to work from our Salt Lake City headquarters five days a week; hybrid or remote work is not an option

What You’ll Do
As Executive Creative Director - Brand Voice, you’ll help develop and execute on our verbal identity systems throughout the enterprise.
You’ll also work cross-functionally to help craft the language frameworks that guide how we communicate with clients across wealth management, commercial and small business banking, consumer banking, and our digital platforms. This includes developing tone guidelines, messaging architectures, and content standards that balance regulatory requirements with genuine human connection.
Equally important, you’ll guide a team of writers, strategists, and brand specialists in creating campaigns that move beyond transactional language to build lasting relationships with our clients.
From product naming to campaign concepting, executive communications to in-branch messaging, you’ll ensure every word reflects our commitment to helping clients achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
Partners with marketing leadership, segment leads, and affiliate marketing teams to translate business objectives into compelling creative strategies.
Lead the narrative development of integrated campaigns across digital, print, experiential, and emerging channels.
Establish and maintain brand voice standards that work across diverse audiences, from mass market wholesale and retail clients to high-net-worth wealth planning clients.
Direct the creative development process from initial brief through final execution, ensuring work meets both creative excellence and regulatory compliance standards.
Mentor and develop creative talent, fostering a culture of curiosity, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and risk teams to push creative boundaries while maintaining appropriate guardrails.
Present creative work to senior leadership and stakeholders with clarity and conviction.
Stay attuned to cultural trends, competitive positioning, and evolving client expectations in financial services.
Roll up your sleeves and pitch in on day-to-day work and large-scale campaigns to meet volume demands.
What You Bring
Ten or more years of progressive creative leadership experience, with significant time spent developing brand voice systems and verbal identity.
Deep portfolio demonstrating excellence in financial services, fintech, pharma or other trust-driven industries where tone and clarity are paramount.
Proven ability to balance creativity with the unique constraints of regulated industries.
Exceptional writing skills across formats and audiences, from social copy to thoughtful long-form content.
Strategic thinking that connects business goals to creative expression.
Experience leading and developing creative teams, with a track record of attracting and retaining top talent.
Comfort presenting to and influencing C-suite executives and board members.
Understanding of how brand voice intersects with customer experience, product design, and business strategy.
Collaborative spirit that thrives in matrixed organizations and cross-functional partnerships.
Knowledge of the design fundamentals and how the disciplines of design and copywriting work together to tell a compelling, cohesive story.

Within your first year, you’ll have a hand in establishing clear brand voice guidelines for each of our affiliates and the enterprise brand that teams across the organization can confidently apply.
You’ll have launched several major campaigns at the segment level that demonstrate our evolved voice and drives measurable business results.
