We are seeking a Director, Technology Governance & Division Performance to join Zions Bancorporation.  The Director is responsible for establishing and leading the governance framework that ensures technology operations align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The Director collaborates with executive leadership, risk management, audit, legal, compliance, and IT teams to drive transparency, accountability, and strategic alignment in technology decision-making. 
 
Responsibilities: 
- Manage the overall technology governance, inclusive of frameworks, policies, and standards, across the organization. 
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations and guide adoption of best industry practices. 
- Align the strategic outcomes to the business case outcomes, including the alignment and buildout of the business cases and ongoing management to ensure those outcomes are met. 
- Establish the technology human capital strategy, including training and upskilling, career progression, mentorship, and role rotations to ensure the ongoing and sustainable skills to enable the overall strategy and ensure the appropriate foundation in order to achieve the defined and established outcomes. 
- Maintain responsibility for monitoring and governing long-term strategic technology initiatives. 
- Manage development and implementation of department projects through team members. 
- Mentor and develop team members 
- Other duties as assigned. 
 
  
Requirements: 
- 10 plus years of experience in Technology Governance functions, with practical experience in applying COBIT, ITIL, FFIEC frameworks. Experience in maturing Technology processes, with use of process design and RCSA frameworks. Six Sigma, Lean, Shingo certifications are a plus. 
- 8 years of enterprise stakeholder management experience, driving complex programs across multiple divisions. 
- Effective stakeholder management experience across a complex enterprise strategic agenda, business case creation, and management. 
- Executive and board level management and reporting background. 
- Extensive knowledge of project management (within technology), strategic planning with the ability to establish a technology roadmap, framework, and governance. 
- Advanced technical background. 
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve issues and meet deadlines and schedules. 
- Exceptional negotiation and facilitation ability. 
- Advanced knowledge of departmental specific processes, governance, and compliance or other related knowledge. 
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business, or a related field. 
- A combination of education and experience may meet requirements. 
 
 
Work Location: 
This position is fully in office (5 days a week) at the Zions Technology Center - 7860 South Bingham Junction Blvd, Midvale, UT 84047 
  
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
