We are currently hiring for a Director, Corporate Trust to join our Fee Income team, located in downtown Salt Lake City, UT, Boise, ID or Atlanta, GA.
The Director, Corporate Trust leads the corporate trust division, defining and implementing comprehensive sales strategies and processes to drive new business development and client retention. This role ensures the business meets all compliance obligations and regulatory expectations, assigns accounts, and manages relationships according to fiduciary policies, procedures, risk, and compliance standards. The Director acts as a fiduciary resource, reviewing documents, negotiating fees, and approving discretionary distributions, while overseeing long-term strategic planning for the area. This leader hires, trains, and supervises regional trust office managers, motivating teams and driving change through effective business planning and project management.
Responsibilities
Direct the activities of the corporate trust division and develop sales strategies
Lead the implementation of comprehensive sales processes
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and fiduciary obligations
Drive new business development and retention of existing clients
Assign accounts and manage relationships according to fiduciary policies, procedures, risk, and compliance
Act as a fiduciary resource to review documents, negotiate fees, and approve discretionary distributions
Oversee long-term strategic planning for the division
Hire, train, and supervise regional trust office managers
Motivate teams and maintain effective systems of reward and communication
Manage multiple projects and timelines, driving change through business planning
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
12+ years managing a corporate trust department, operations, functions, or other directly related experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance or business required
Managerial experience required
Motivational, budgeting, and project management experience preferred
In-depth knowledge of corporate trusts, fiduciary policy and procedures, trust regulations and laws
Expert understanding of all Corporate Trust products and services
Excellent leadership, management, and client relationship skills
Ability to develop new business and retain current clients
Excellent analysis, sales, networking, negotiation, and communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
Strong strategic and critical thinking abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines and drive change through business planning
