Amegy Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager to join our dynamic Commercial Lending Team in Houston or Sugar Land, TX. This role is ideal for early career professionals who have foundational credit training and underwriting experience and are eager to grow in a client-facing, relationship-driven environment.

As a Relationship Manager, you’ll be part of a high-performing team that helps businesses thrive. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and deliver tailored lending solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining strong, low-risk commercial relationships while delivering exceptional customer service

  • Acting as the principal account and relationship manager for new and existing clients.

  • Managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term success.

  • Generating new business leads through referrals, networking, and collaboration with other bank departments.

  • Conducting client meetings to assess needs, review portfolios, and recommend financial solutions.

  • Performing credit analysis, structuring loans, and exercising sound judgment in evaluating character and risk.

  • Cross-selling other bank products and services to meet client needs.

  • Supporting team goals and contributing to the development of commercial lending strategies and practices

  • Participating in ongoing training and development to sharpen your skills and expand your expertise.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

We’re looking for candidates who are passionate about relationship-building and ready to take ownership of their professional growth.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.

  • Formal credit training and underwriting experience.

  • A minimum of 2–7 years of professional experience.

  • Strong sales and relationship management skills, with a passion for helping businesses grow.

  • A solid understanding of commercial credit structuring, banking products, and lending procedures.

  • Familiarity with the local business community and market dynamics is a plus.

  • A track record of consistent performance and tenure in previous roles.
