The Supply Chain Management organization of Zions Bancorporation seeks a Strategic Sourcing Business Analyst to assist Strategic Sourcing Category Managers with market, financial, spend analysis, deal analysis, and research pertaining to strategic sourcing events and pending deals with Third Parties.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience to:

  • Review, examine, and evaluate business processes, procedures, and user needs relating to Strategic Sourcing.
  • Assist Strategic Sourcing Category Mangers in gathering and documenting business requirements and documents for sourcing events.
  • Provide data analysis to support, complete, and report key information for Strategic Sourcing Category Manager sourcing events and Third-Party vendor initiatives.
  • Examine and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for sourcing events.
  • Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audiences.
  • Produce, publish, and distribute operational reports relating to the development and performance of Strategic Sourcing products and processes.
  • Act as a liaison with various departments, management and staff to resolve problems and improve processes and procedures.
  • Perform project management leadership functions as a project manager or team member for strategic sourcing events or other Third-Party initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • We want a highly motivated person and a self-starter who has: Working knowledge of project techniques and practices.
  • Solid analysis skills (including financial, business process, qualitative, etc.)
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to solve problems including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data.
  • Ability to work in a heavily deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to deal effectively with people in various job capacities.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database, and applications).
  • A Bachelor’s in supply chain, business, finance, statistics, or related field and some experience in business process analysis, gathering and documenting business requirements, project methodology, data analysis, managing business relationships, or similar experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
