A day in the life:

 

  • Underwrite, sell, and renew company offered insurance products.
  • Underwrite and provide coverage for insured risks, prospecting new accounts and handling incoming calls and referrals from branches or other outside sources.
  • Achieve sales goals.
  • Develop local marketing strategies and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and promote additional business opportunities for the insurance division and to other divisions within the bank.
  • Take on other duties as needed to ensure the success of the business.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Requires a College Degree and 4+ years in insurance industry with underwriting, sales, and renewals. Insurance licensing required. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance underwriting, sales, and renewals.
  • Strong sales and client relationship sales.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to assess risk needs of complex consumers and recommend insurance solutions.
  • Ability to generate referrals.
