Right now, the Digital Banking team is working on a project to expand our digital presence through cutting edge technologies and you can be on the front line of this entrepreneurial project.  The digital banking team is looking for a Digital Banking Operations Specialist.  

 

 The Digital Banking Ops Specialist will help us …

 

  • Assist with more complicated business structures and complete the necessary steps that are above the routine/mundane level covered by our Business Process Outsourced partner (e.g., approvals and handling product and service issues that outside of Business Process Outsourced partner altogether or need additional handling).
  • Interact directly with customers with account questions and servicing needs.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and BSA/AML standards, including reviews of our Business Process Outsourced partner conformance.
  • Research and resolve escalated operational tasks, questions, projects and audit concerns.
  • Provide operations guidance, coaching and development to employees including assistance with policies and procedures, computer applications and general operations issues.
  • Ensure all actions comply with Bank and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Update and revise policies and procedures due to operations or system changes.
  • Perform routine audits, oversee and analyze data in an effort to mitigate financial and/or operational, administrative risks.
  • Research and resolve inconsistencies in areas of responsibilities.
  • Develop methods to report, analyze and trend findings to management. 
  • Ensure new risks and risk occurrences are reported to management.
  • Stay current on issues affecting responsibility.
  • Assist with resolving complex problems.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on operational issues, responsible to assist banking operations groups with a variety of operational issues.
  • Work with various business users to review and analyze existing operational practices and recommend improvements and changes.
  • Remain flexible and take on other duties and projects as needed for the success of the Digital Banking platform.

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a college degree in business, finance, communications or a related field or 4+ years of experience in banking, banking operations, policies, procedures and communications, both written and verbal. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Knowledge of banking operational processes, procedures, regulations, policies and applications.
  • Ability to handle escalated operations concerns and make recommendations for process changes.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Business or technical writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of employees.
  • Strong analysis, problem resolution, decision making and follow-up skills.
  • Strong leadership, customer service and relationship skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with multiple departments and leaders.
  • Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced working knowledge of computer software, i.e. Microsoft word, excel,  etc. and various banking systems.

This position requires regular face-to-face interaction with teams, business stakeholders, and executives in Salt Lake City, Utah. We will consider candidates in the area, able to relocate to the area, or working remotely but willing to travel regularly to Salt Lake City.
