We are currently seeking a technical Cybersecurity Architect to join our cybersecurity architecture practice. In this role, you will focus on cybersecurity control design, technical standards, and consultative work to ensure the bank’s existing and planned cybersecurity control architecture effectively secures the bank while also enabling business growth. We are looking for experience designing technical cybersecurity controls and defining standards in key areas such as public cloud, data protection, identity, and application design. Strong communication skills and the ability to lead through influencing are also critical success factors for the role.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop multidisciplinary cybersecurity domain strategies and principles
  • Provide end-to-end security architecture assessments, diagrams, and documentation using threat modeling frameworks and methodologies
  • Conduct and facilitate cybersecurity architecture reviews with multiple internal/external teams and stakeholders
  • Review and approve secure architectures, provide guidance, insight, and feedback on new security technologies
  • Develop reference architectures and related secure design patterns that will be leveraged by the enterprise
  • Establish future-state cybersecurity multidisciplinary architecture design patterns that consider business, information, application, infrastructure and security perspectives
  • Identify current and emerging technologies, risk, and threat trends and design countermeasures with layered defense strategies
  • Research new security technologies and understand the current threat intelligence landscape to provide actionable guidance
  • Analyze security threats and incidents for continuous architecture and controls improvements
  • Develop and manage the adoption and enforcement of security standards and  best practices
  • Design technical controls and solutions for a variety of information systems based on industry best practices and guidelines (e.g., NIST CSF, CSA, CIS, OWASP)
  • Influence change and lead strategic enterprise IT cybersecurity initiatives aligned with business objectives
  • Provide well-versed industry and security expertise and lead business leaders and project teams to optimal and compliant solutions
  • Communicate effectively with business leaders and technical experts at all organizational levels through verbal and written communication.
  • Cultivate a shared strategic vision, articulate clear business objectives, and align the organization to achieve them.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely information in response to audits and regulatory exams; institute a proactive culture to align activities and measurement with internal policy and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain technical expertise in multiple technical domains.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of enterprise cybersecurity or relevant technology experience
  • 2+ years of architecture experience in one or more cybersecurity domains (for example, identity, network, endpoint, data protection, threat intelligence, etc.)
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience designing or administering security controls in the public cloud (AWS, Azure or competitors)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, microservices, infrastructure as code and other DevOps principles and technologies
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standard practices such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CSA, OWASP, etc.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including written deliverables, oral presentations, and the ability to facilitate crucial conversations at all levels of the organization 

 

 

This position can be located at the bank’s technology headquarters in the Salt Lake City, Utah area, or 100% remote. 

       Pay Range: $140,000-170,000
